If you book your ice fishing trip with us before October 1st you’ll be guaranteed our rates from last winter,if you have any questions about pricing, please head on over to our Services and Rates page for more details. We look forward to what is starting to shape up to be a very promising ice fishing season and we hope to see you out on the ice this winter! But,if you’re not quite looking for ice fishing just yet,we do have fall fishing charter trips available throughout the month of September and into early October depending on the weather. Our cabin will be available for rentals during the fall for fall fishermen looking for a quiet cabin and dock slip or else for a place to stay for all you avid Hunters out there!
The weather is beautiful and the fishing is hot on Lake of the Woods! The fishing is currently hot on the south side of the NW angle in 5-11 ft using a Gold,Orange or Chartruce spinner tipped with a shiner or leach. Anchoring in 28-31 ft of water also on the south side of the angle has also proven to be an effective strategy using orange or gold jig tipped a shiner as well. On the south end of the lake, anchoring outside of the gap in 24-30 ft of water has provided results as well as pulling spinners along the shallower water on the north side of Pine Island. We have mid-week bookings available and select weekends throughout the summer months. Give us a call at 218-368-7323 for more information! Happy fishing everyone

How’s it going everyone?!?! The fishing on LOTW has been quite phenomenal this season and that trend continues into the final weekend of February!! Currently, our houses are approx 17.5 miles out from our cabin in 35-37 feet of water. Several 14-17 inch saugers have been reported from our houses as well as 14-16 inch walleyes coming up quite regularly. Decent sized tullibee and perch have been reported as well. The bite seems to be steady throughout the day with a few slow spots in between the rushes during the day. A flasher is a must as several fish have been reported as coming in suspended and a good amount of the suspended fish have shown great interest in the bait. Plain red or orange hooks and plain red treble hooks on a dead stick seem to be a hot ticket. As far as jigs go, clam jigs, jigging Raps and other several other smaller jigs with glow in the dark Pink/Gold,Orange and Green as the go to colors with both techniques using either a live fat head or a live shiner. Good luck to everyone and we hope to see you during the final month of the 2017 hard water fishing season!!
Good evening everyone!!! Here’s an ice update for you! We are currently measuring 30-35 inches of ice on the big lake and the creek is holding up nicely as well!! The road leading to the houses is rough in places at the moment due to the way the lake froze this year, but, with temps dropping back well below freezing this weekend it should smooth back out quite nicely, perhaps even better than when it initially froze!! Just remember, please maintain a cautious speed on your way out to LOTW because with rough ice you can never be too careful! Hope to see you soon!!
The fishing in the 30-33 feet of water range has been producing several limits of 14-17 inch Walleyes and Saugers with a few smaller yearlings in the mix as well. We have also seen a few perch around the 12 inch range as well as a few tulibees and pout coming up the holes. The fish have been biting more timidly so patience before setting the hook is a must. A plain red hook on a dead stick continues to produce a decent number of fish as well as using smaller jigging spoons, rattle spoons, buck shots and stop signs with glow in the dark pink, green, blue and gold being the effective colors. The hot times for the bite seem to be between 10 am-4 pm with a decent number of bites being reported between first light to 10 am. The bite in the 16-20 feet of water range has cooled off a bit with a few keepers still being brought up mixed in with a handful of yearlings. The flashers continue to be a highly recommended tool up here on LOTW as there remains to be a decent number of suspended fish being seen. We have a few day houses available for the weekend so give us a call at 218-368-7323 to check availability! Good luck fishing on beautiful Lake of the Woods!
