1-16-18 Fishing Report

Fishing on Lake of the Woods remains strong despite the cold weather. Currently, our houses are set up in 32-33 feet of water with a mid-afternoon bite being the prime time of fishing at this time.

Pink, white, orange, gold or blue glow in the dark jigs on a dead stick with a live fat head seem to be the hot ticket right now as well as glow in the dark rattle spoons tipped with a minnow head.

Currently the bite seems to be predominantly saugers with eater walleyes and tulebes mixed in. Believe it or not Lake of the Woods is currently producing a decent night bite of not only pout but a few walleye and saugers being reported as well.
