Work began yesterday prepping the crossing for the upcoming season. The lake still has a few open spots on it from the warmer weather and wind earlier in the week but that should all change next week as temps will quickly drop back into the teens and lows in the singles. The existing ice on the lake isn’t ready yet for travel so no travel on the main lake is currently advised. Again, safety is the first and foremost priority during the ice fishing season.
Pike fishing remains strong in the Bostic Creek for those who have ventured out spearing and tip up fishing with several northerns of 40″+ being reported.
We will be back on the ice next week when the cool temps arrive to flood areas at the crossing and check ice and should have another update mid-week. Have a safe weekend!
